British demographers predict if Muslim birthrates hold steady, within five years, Mohammed will be #1 in the UK.

Per an NPR report I heard today.

as does Deutschland. In fact, in Germany, everyone is required to tithe by law.

Try that in any state but Utah and people would go apoplectic. FWIW, there is nothing in the Constitution to preclude a US state from doing so.:D

As a side note on that, because of the state religions in Northern Europe, new Lutheran Churches in the U.S. had a hard time convincing people they had to give. A variety of tactics were tried before giving became part of going to church.
