The 2007 Football Preview issue of Sooner Spectator is officially here. It started hitting stores Monday and should be arriving in subscribers' mail boxes very soon.

This year's special edition includes 100 pages of indepth coverage of Sooner football - from key position features to opponent rundowns to up-to-date recruiting news. There are insightful features on players like Allen Patrick and Marcus Walker, an inside look at the quarterback race, and much, much more - like interviews with various coaches, a breakdown of every position and a look back at Sooners past.

On top of all that, the new Spectator gives you the scoop above and beyond your basic football coverage... thanks to features on superfan Toby Keith, a portrait of former OU walk-on Pete Norwood, who's now the face and voice of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and a big hello from Joe Washington.

Pick up your copy of Sooner Spectator today, or better yet, subscribe!!

Thanks for the kind words. I kinda like the cover, too.

BTW, we left before all of the Sooner Caravan festivities kicked off. How was it?

Any feedback, both positive and criticism, is welcome!

Caravan was awesome. Naturally, Sittler wrote an article that looks questionable as to Stoops's opinion on the Fiesta Bowl. Stoops was classy and respectful the whole time regarding Bomar questions, Oregon questions, RRS questions, and all the stuff that is annoying to keep hearing at this point. He answered all of the questions with a smile and was noted to walk around the tent all night long shaking hands and sitting down with folks. He sat down next to my dad and my boss for like five minutes at OUr table, very personable guy. I never met him other than for a quick handshake and an autograph before.

Jeff Capel really impressed me with his commitment and mannerisms. He really does seem beyond his years in terms of his public speaking and knowledge of the game. It was nice to hear how truly dedicated he is to his job, and that he's not just a sit-in until we're off probation.

Sherri was as delightful a crowd pleaser as always. Mucho respecto.

My boss bought one of the auctioned items, a BIG 12 Championship 2006 picture frame. Haven't seen it yet, since he doesn't normally come into work. :D

There were two giggly rips on OSU that got everyone's attention by Spencer Tillman and Joe. Castiglione. If you ever run into Spencer, ask him to do his famous Barry Switzer impression again if you haven't seen it... he's hilarious. :D

Subscribers should be receiving the new issue any day. It went in the mail a few days ago. We do everything to make sure it gets in our readers' hands as soon as possible... but we can't control the U.S. Mail and they don't make publications a priority unless you pay first class postage.

If you have problems getting it in a timely manner, let us know and we'll contact the postal representative in that area and see if we can fix the problem.

Got mine in the mail earlier this week, which is a good change, cause mine usually comes later than some of you others who are always talking about the stories before I even get it in my mailbox.
So far from what I've read, it's another great issue. I never really knew AP's background/path to OU til I read that article about him in this issue. Keep up the good reads Jay C.
Also, have you all looked at getting SS on some shelves in Broken Arrow?..I bet they'd sell good here.
