CD-R autoplay help

I'm trying to create an autoplay for a CD-R to be handed out at a workshop. I have the autoplay.inf set to open an html file, which it does just fine, but can not get the links in the html to work with the documents (pdfs) that are on the CD. I suspect it has to be something with path I have for the particular pdf. Below is a sample:

href="file://D:\chap_1.pdf">Chapter 1 - Compliance & Requirements
(some coding left off)

Help me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA

isn't it file:\\ not file://

oh and the don't you have to declair it as "local drive" and not d because d won't always be the cd-rom


i'd help more, but i didn't sleep at a holiday inn last night, and i'm probably completely wrong on my advise anyways :D
