We did that when our oldest was a baby. Not a pleasant thought, but I feel better knowing that our kids would be with the people who have our highest trust.

We left our kids to Bob Stoops. I don't know if he knows it yet.

Seriously, having a will is an important issue that is too often neglected.

On a side issue, do a lot of parents consider the "godparents" to be the guardian of the kids if something happens or is that just a formal thing Catholics do?

i think its also i'm portant to have a living will. my mom always told me that i would go to my God-mother if something happened to them. and i always wondered "why send me someone who already has 5 kids. she doesn't need one more"
