Spider solitaire on difficult setting has got to be one of the hardest games in the world. Argh!

Yes. I can beat the medium about a quarter of the time. I have never beat it on difficult level.

i've beat it quite a few times on difficult level, but the wins are few and far between....there's a certain strategy you have to employ but its mostly luck

Is the key to get out as many cards under the existing cards as possible before dealing?

yes, move as many as possible, even if you arent matching suits
the key is getting an empty space to move cards around

crap people.
I win about 40% on difficult and about 80% on medium.
That said.....on difficult I won about the third time I played and then lost about a hundred in a row before I did it again.
Now I have a routine that helps. You need to be willing to back up and try different paths before committing sometimes.

He meant Control Z
It lest you "undo" moves up to the point where you dealt another row.

I'm on a skid right now and sitting at 27% on difficult. 19-49 with no more than one in a row win and no more than two in a row loss.
I can usually hit a streak that helps the average, but haven't done it lately. I usually start the stats over after I play around 100 games.
