I think the commies called it "democratizing the economy" back in the day...

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an "ownership society" really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poorhttp://biz.yahoo.com/ap/070529/clinton_economy.html?.v=1

This is funny, cause we all know government does such a wonderful job at creating wealth!

Hopefully, when Billary is President, she will make Oklahoma one of those special economic zones, like China does with Shanghai. Hong Kong and Macau, after she finally realizes socialism doesn't work and never has.

Carry on.

Maybe a better comparison would've been "I think it's funny that those who complain about people calling Bush stupid are calling Clinton a socialist."

Please explain for those of us who think your statement is retarded.

Also, calling someone a Nazi is basically saying they are a murderer. Calling someone a socialist doesn't say anything of the sort. Well, except that they are woefully ignorant about things like economics and history.

If the out-of-the-blue "Immigration Bill" gets passed, whatever Democrat that's nominated will be a shoe-in for POTUS in '08. The republicans (esp. the president) will be guilty of complicity, and the repub. base will sit on their hands for the election. We are headed to full-blown socialism, and sewing the seeds for civil unrest, I'm afraid.

Hey, socialist thinking helped keep America during the depression.
Not really. This thing called "World War II" happened and it really helped with, like, jobs and stuff.

And besides, are we in a depression right now?

Well, I haven't seen any of the Dems say that they think that they endorse socialism as a doctrine, nor will you find any credible political scientist say "Hillary Clinton is a socialist" namely because it just isn't true. Does she believe in a more active role of government? Yes, but that doesn't make one a socialist.

What I meant by Nazi-Bush comment, is that people who need simple politics without any root understanding of a political platform latch to such phrases, basically calling Clinton a socialist or Bush a Nazi appeases the base instincts of our dumber citizens. So basically if you call Clinton a socialist, you are woefully ignorant about things like economics and history.

Before they can re-distribute ALL wealth and property and tax the working populace up to 70%, they will have to take the guns away. And they know it. It has nothing to do with crime control, it's about controlling us.

It appears so.

7, 11, 16, 17, 20, 26, 27, 28, 32, and 40 are progressing nicely as well. I would say 24 & 25 are in effect as well, but I don't have a problem with pron at all. :)

FWI - I came up with the magic number of "70%" for a hypothetical future tax rate based on the GOA's report several years ago that this is what it would take to keep entitlement programs from going broke in the not-so-distant future. I don't have a source, but I'm sure it can be found. Perhaps the Bush tax-cut boosted gov't income enough to push it back a little.

Think about that, and then ask yourself why Congress is going to ignore the will of the people and grant amnesty to millions of illegals? Remember, the baby boomers are about to retire. They need the workers to pay the taxes so the whole system doesn't go t*ts up. And it's a big gamble. What if a large portion of the 'immigrants' decide to collect wellfare, instead? It will hasten the demise of many our 'social wellfare programs' unless we do one of two things: 1. cut benefits, or 2. raise taxes to atrociously high rates.

What do you think they'd do? They'll raise the taxes because they need the benies to buy votes (both parties)

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

BTW, I wonder if the pubs will be running any commericals that actually call Billary a socialists, like the commericals the dims ran comparing Bush to hitler?
