I think the fuss about picking a "campaign song" is idiotic.

First, half the songs under consideration AREN'T BY AMERICAN BANDS. U2? Green Day? Someone's seriously going to choose a "campaign song" by bands with fairly low opinions of Americans? Might as well pick a Dixie Chicks song and get it over with. Oh wait...

Second - assuming that any politician's choice of a song to represent their campaign is - what's a good word here? - absolute pabulum. I don't care if Hillary listens to Charles Mingus (though I might be slightly more impressed by her musical taste) it still won't make me vote for her.

What about that old song by Ten Years After (I think?) that says "Tax the rich/ feed the poor/ til there are no/ rich no more"? Dragging everybody down to be poor seems to be HRC's goal, so that song would prolly be the most truthful thing in her whole campaign.
