Oh, and the smell of it!

Every night the aroma of it waves through this entire neighborhood community. Its so bad that the idea of an outdoor BBQ is totally and completely out of the question. I feel like I'm going to barf every time I go out to water my plants, which I have limited to three separate 25 minute increments. What on earth were they thinking !

They have dumped a truck load of cow manure in their yard for Gods sake! http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y86/OUmom/10.gif

What could that possibly be worth? I hope the nitrogen burns up whatever they think they're fertilizing. :P

Oh, and I did consider the clothes pin idea but then I would just be breathing the fumes through my mouth and that would just be worse. At least your nose has safety barriers. :D

It's just a Nebraska joke. Any time someone complains about livestock smell, the smells like money bit is brought up. Also cattle manure is much better than pig ****, so count your blessings.

I've got an abundance of cow **** to fertilize with - yet I always use ammonium nitrate or urea instead. Well except for the garden. There, we use cow **** and fertilizer.

Fresh cow**** that is tilled into the garden doesn't stink at all. Manure spread on a lawn stinks like ****.

Oh. Well in that case I shall get on my knees tonight and thank God in heaven for the cow **** smell I'm having to live with. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y86/OUmom/10.gif http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y86/OUmom/pray.gif http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y86/OUmom/10.gif

You make it sound like it's the end of the world. It's just a little ****.

You should feel great! We had the compost sprayed over our entire yard in march. Only problem was ( and we did not know this at the time) That our neighbor does not use air conditioning and leaves their windows open all the time. Needless to say that compost was Fiiiiiiiinnnnnnneeee and found every window crack and door crack in our house. As for our nice neighbors, their entire master bath (which is/was white and faces our house) was covered solid in 1/2 an inch of black compost. They were nice about it though. They are nice neighbors.

That our neighbor does not use air conditioning

Are they Amish, by any chance?

Seriously. No AC in the Austin area? Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.

some well diluted 28% UAN will have your grass so green and thick you will have to mow it about every other day. Some undiluted 28% and you may never have to mow your yard again.
