Or, Topeka as it's written on the map.

So, my consulting company overlords have decided that my next gig is out at a place in West Topeka starting next week and lasting for six months. Is there anything to do there or should I just hop in my car and head home every day after work?

Yeah, that doesn't mean much in Kansas. Topeka's about the 4th largest city in Kansas. About the size of Norman on a gameday.

Ugh.

So, can I count that as a vote for 'go straight home after work'? :D

People (I won't name names) have offered good money if I 'take care of' Fred. :texan:

If you're into hookers then stay. If not, head home.

Yeah, I noticed it wasn't too long after I passed the new construction in West Lawrence before I came into Topeka. I've spent some time in Lawrence and really enjoyed the whole 'vibe' of the place. I'm just afraid that with all the college kids around there I'm getting too old to be there. :O

Unexpected benefit of driving to and from Topeka: getting to look at a good number of dead deer and the nearby blood-stained highway.

Gory highway of death? Awesome! I like people who can always see the bright side.

Go to Set 'em Up Jack's on E 23rd in Lawrence. Sit at the bar for lunch. Say hi to Emily for me.
