Yeah, I saw that pic in my newspaper and thought it was a mislabeled picture until I saw the OU logo on the shirt. Made me feel like blech! Texas Techie kind of look.....I thought there was "only one Oklahoma!" Now I feel like something else. I'm sure when opponents on the football field see the crimson and cream on the other side it inspires that gut-wrenching feeling that they're going up against one of the most storied programs in the nation......with uni change-ups the "awe factor" slips I fear.

The black unis look good for BASEBALL. Nike sent black jerseys to all of ther Nike "Elite" schools, and I doubt you will even see them next year. They are mainly for the postseason. You guys get way too worked up over this stuff. There is NO way they would ever do anything like this to the football uniforms.

From what I understand, Nike has approached the University for changes to the football jersey, but all proposals to this date have been rejected. I don't think the uniform is going to change at all.

And I think the black baseball jerseys are for postseason alone.

So, you're saying we should ditch the white pants, white numbers, white on the helmet, etc? White is used only as an accent color for the crimson as it is not included in our official colors.

my brother had a few buddies who managed oSu ball in the 70's and 80's. I'll always remember going to a cookout at one dude's house, he had those oSu black helmets adorned in his living room.;)

Yeah, those black helmets were pretty bad (about as bad as the burnt orange).

The white helmets look good as long as they're not sitting atop an orange/orange jersey/pant combo. Same color jersey/pant uniforms should be outlawed by the NCAA (other than white on white worn only on the road). It's arena ball BS.
