He just never seemed to catch on from what I heard. He left on good terms and apparently has alot of upside, so hopefully capel can bring it out of him

saw some video on this kid. he's a legit player. Not immediate help since he must sit a year but we know some help is on the way.

he may turn out to be a star but last year as a sophmore he averaged 1.3 pts per game and .9 rebounds. He also averaged 5.4 mpg. I think we get more out of Longar Longar.

I'm sure the UCLA coach is saying the same thing that Bob Stoops said about Ahmed Kabba.

Anyways UCLA had a very powerful team last year so it's easy to see how he could get lost in the shuffle. I'm hoping for the best.

Way to go Jeff.Ag wait till we get 7 or 8 tranfers on OUr roster before you infer we are following in the footsteps of Coach Drunk.

It's about time, we've supplied enough players/recruits to other schools the past 4 years!

I hope this guy is as productive for us as Troy Aikman was for the Bruins. They still owe us an All American transfer.

I'd say that transfer worked out for OU just fine...

True, but we still deserve reciprocity for karma sake. Maybe losing Wright will work out good for UCLA.

he'll be a big body we so desperately need. we'll see how he develops but i don't think it's fair to gauge his abilities based on the playing time he got at one of the top programs in the country.

welcome to the sooners, ryan.

i like it. he was a top 150 player out of HS. it's a gamble, but seems like a good kid and some "upside".

too bad he doesn't run the point, though.

yeah that extra 1.4 points per game and that extra .9 rebounds would've sure come in handy. :D

those 5 fouls might have helped....in a few games. KU comes to mind, maybe Kaun wouldn't be shoving our guys all over the paint with impunity.

You should've just taken our approach with Kaun and parted the sea when he was coming down the lane. Helps you stay out of foul trouble.

Of course, it also helps you lose by 50.

Sweet... Maybe he'll help us with our toughness... He can certainly teach the other players how to fight for rebounds. I found video.

Lou Moore
Rashaad Carruth
Nate Erdmann

Though Erdmann I guess went from WSU to JUCO then to OU.

Though Erdmann I guess went from WSU to JUCO then to OU.So, that would make it like 10-1 on those that transfer out, vs. in?:O

Not everybody can hack being a Sooner. Sometimes, those that couldn't discover that they can... and come calling. More often than not, false Sooners buckle under the pressure of wearing the crimson and cream, and have to leave rather than embarass it. I don't understand them, but, rather, pity them. They know not what they do.

I CARE not what they do.

If it says "Sooners" on the front when they graduate, I don't care how they got here... as long as they can play. If it starts off saying "Sooners" on the front, but, when they graduate, it says something else... f 'em. I'll worry about the ones that cared... If somebody that's already here is transferring over playing time... I GET that. Maybe they're good, but not quite good enough... They WANTED to be a Sooner, but they have to take care of other things. Fine. Just do well when you go... and try to make sense when you go as well... (Ryan Humphrey) If someone signs here, then backs out....?

So what?

They never were Sooners. To be upset over what we don't have is to waste what we do have, and what we DO have is a team that we're going to get to see grow up over the next couple of years. We get to watch the proverbial light come on for a group of young men who want nothing more than to be Sooners, and, for me, that's enough. Sure, I'd love a deep NCAA run, and I think we'll make one in three years... (Mark it down...)

...but I like seeing these guys learn the game too. At least those that ARE improving... (Not so fast Longar Longar...) To me, it makes an otherwise disappointing season a LOT more entertaining.
