He is going into sixth grade next year and is going to a fifth grade dance. My son is not old enough to go to a dance.

I don't like my babies growing up.

My first boy girl dance was in the 5th grade. After that it seemed like every weekend we someone was having a dance. Ahhh, the memories of the good old B-town VFW and Senior Citizens Center.

Maybe he can hook up with some chick with a tramp stamp.:pop:

Just as long as she isn't his date, you're ok:

Take him to one of the Salsa clubs and hire a dancer there to give some pointers. He needs to learn rhythm and a few dance moves. He'll thank you for it later.

I resent that. Straight guys can't dance? Ahem!

You can do it, just make sure you don't enjoy it. :D

Straight white guys can't dance

I know some gay white dudes that can't dance either. I don't think the gay/straight thing is the determining part of the equation.

I wish I was in town cuz I would go take pictures and embarrass his little butt.
He did not wanna tell his mom he wanted to go because he knew she would tease him so he told her he HAD to go.

aawwww....that is too cute. 5th grade boys and girls...sweet.

I made the mistake a few years back of telling my daughter about my first real kiss. I was in the 7th grade at a school dance and he was an 8th grader and we were "going together". We snuck outside and he kissed me.

Now she is going into the 7th grade next year at the same school, and she asked me the other day just exactly how did we sneak out.

STOP IT!

really the condom thing isn't really funny.

guys, I'm going to go ahead and suggest that implying a guys little son is promiscuous might be pushing it a bit.

would you do it if it was a girl?

soonerbrat

yeah right. my son graduated from high school saturday.

(valedictorian, i might add)

That's a whole different ballgame. If you've got a son you've only got to worry about one little prick; if you've got a daughter you've got to worry about all of them. :D

The difference is that we view males with many partners as some kind of hero and females with many partners as sluts.

Well, I don't do that, and for the record I'm not the one who brought up condoms.

Seriously, now is as good a time for The Talk as any. Sign him up on here. We'll learn him. :texan:

Good plan.

Martin: Hey, son. I hear you're going to a dance.
Martin Jr.: Yep.
Martin: So...do you have any, uh, questions?
MJ: About what?
Martin: You know...stuff?
MJ: Stuff?
Martin: Stuff.
MJ: OH. STUFF. Ummm...uhhh...no thanks.
Martin. Good. Nice talking to you son.

:D

SOONER is better than later. you don't want everything he knows coming from his friends.

Brat.......I think I'm ready for that talk now......

Could you walk me through this?
