I've somewhat started my annual tradition of watching all my (both my) OU videos I've taped off the TV from past few years.

So far I've watched 2000 Texas and K-State games. We've done better than expected, even whooping Texas 63-14 (seriously, I re-checked the scoring and that's correct)!!! Next up is Nebraska, which is going to be a home game, but they are the number one team in the nation. Should be a great game. I just hope we don't get embarrassed.

:D

Take OU and the points.

I'm still waiting to watch the video. I've been at work yesterday.

But the good news is I hyperextended my knee, which may give me some time off so I can watch my videos. Way to go trick knee!!!!

And you'd have to be a silly billy to take the points against Nebraska. They look so...mean. I just hope we don't get embarrassed.

Dang! It's going to be a long day. Nebraska is up 14-0. :(

This is an amazingly comprehensive write-up.

Sooners down 14-0 as first quarter ends (http://www.soonerstats.com/football/games/recap.cfm?GameID=1027)

what we need is a circus catch to really get the team and crowd going!!! I know, i know, wishful thinking on my part.

If we're already down 14-0 after their first two drives, I might as well not even watch the rest of it. ;)

But I prolly will.

I was sitting in the stands. Staring at my shoes.

My wife told me not to worry.

I told my OU-hater uncle that I wasn't worried because Nebraska wouldn't score again. I didn't really believe it, but I said it anyway. It worked out well.

You should give some thought to kicking your OU-hater uncle in the taint. Just sayin' ...

Touchdown OU! We're back in it! Now is our defense up to the challenge?

One of the most amazing catches I've ever seen by OU was in the 1st half of that game. That was the last year where we got all the right bounces & breaks.

one thing you will take from that year and those games!
We miss Mike Stoops!
Heck I miss Bo Pelini now.

Amazingly, we won!! 31-14. After their two scores, they didn't mount a serious attack until late in the fourth quarter (they fumbled in our red zone).

And I also got to see a great game between OU and Texas A&M. We won, but barely, 35-31. Torrence Marshall had an interception and returned it for a touchdown near the end to win it for us.

Next up on my schedule, the Big Twelve CCG in Kansas City against Kansas State.

He's OCPD, so he comes in handy sometimes.
Less so now than when I was in HS and college, but handy none the less. :)

We won, and we're off to play Florida State in the Orange Bowl for the National Championship!! Not sure why they are there instead of Miami, who beat them during the regular season (Butch Davis was kind enough to bring that up at the half time of the OU-KSU game).

Great game by Trent Smith.

FSU,

they are too big, too fast, and too strong

we have no chance. its going to be a long night. i just wish wish the season would not have been a total waste and Josh would have won the Heisman.

Plus, they have the Heisman-winning QB. That'll probably scare our LB's, and they'll be timid.

Especially around the coin toss. ;)

I'll bet this is an air-it-out offensive shootout and Weinke will shoot us down in the end.

13-2!! A shut out until about a minute left in the game when we deep-snapped a punt over our punter's head.

What an incredible game.

Next up, 2001 RRS.

I remember feeling sick to my stomach at that point....

Before long however...the fuskers laid down and died.

Good Day to be a Sooner....

I still remember the sting of the teargas after the game...

I'm now up to year 2003.

I've watched us pound Texas 65-13, OSU 52-9, and am in the middle of a 77-0 pasting of A&M.

Good times, man. Good times.

I'm now about to start my 2004 videos.

First up, OU-Texas. Should be interesting.
