What is the absolute worst TV show ever?

For me, the 80's had a bunch of them but I think the worst of the bunch was Small Wonder - "Father Ted Lawson creates a robot, Vicki (played by Tiffany Brissette). The family--Ted, Joan and Jamie--keep Vicki's identity secret, and pretend that she is their daughter."

I recall trying to watch it once or twice and being absolutely amazed that it made it to the pilot stage -much less being picked up for broadcast.

I really HATED "Happy Days" even before it jumped the shark.
But the worst show I have ever seen is Surreal World. Its repulsive catering to the basest, meanest human instincts is indeed surreal. And that's what I learned after watching for only 5 minutes!

Man, I totally agree. I love ATHF and Sealab 2021, but some of the crap they are showing lately is seriously beyond funked up.

I caught just a glimpse of some show last Sunday night as I was going to sleep, and I was like oh my freaking gosh what is this even supposed to mean. It was just this long scene of this horribly drawn cartoon flying thing. No redeeming quality whatsoever.

It seriously took years off my life and killed numerous brain cells, and I only caught a minute.

There's got to be something worse than "Small Wonder", but damned if I've thought of anything yet. Bad acting, bad writing, ridiculous premise. Anybody remember the show (same vintage as "Small Wonder") where there was a teenage girl whose father was an alien, and she could stop time by bringing her index fingers together? Still not as bad as SW.

I liked the first couple of seasons, but, starting in Season 4, when the "slacker generation" was in full-effect, and none of the housemates had their OWN "real" jobs, so the producers of the show had to give them a task to complete...

Since then, it's been spearheading the "Ruin Our Society As Completely As Possible" movement.
