Im not so worried about bacteria as I am dirt and other nasty **** on the ground.

I watch kids at work pick candy up off the ground and eat it. I always want to tell them 'Do you know how often we wash the floor?' The answer would be 'never.' People come in there with dirty/muddy shoes, people bring their dogs in, etc.
