It always surprises me that bands I listened to in High School are still putting out records. For example, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, and the Aquabats. It just seems to me that they would have moved on by now.

The Aquabats came out with a hilarious song a couple of years ago, "Look at Me (I'm a Winner)!"

To be fair to the Aquabats, all but two of them have moved on. If they put together an alumni Aquabats band, they'd have something like 15 members.

Soul Asylum, the Gin Blossoms, Barenaked Ladies...

Just a few that have been to Birmingham lately that I had no idea were still together...

and many of them are Mormon. Apparently MC Bat Commander is also involved in a Children's TV show now.

Their 15 minutes will be up soon...I give them another 12 months (and I feel that is being rather generous).

I almost have the new albums lyrics memorized. I'm seeing them in Dallas in August, and also in Vegas in July. Heh.

Green Day. I never would've thought they'd have been around anytime after the mid-90s.
