at the Oklahoma Ren Fest at "The Castle" in Muskogee. Good, clean family fun...with a few notable exceptions. Ok, maybe a pair of notable exceptions.

Going on all this month.

Here are some pictures to whet thy appetite.

Two galoots walking down a road. One is a warrior of some kind. The other is a hunchback. I think. Or something.

You know that red ring you get around your butt when you sit on the terlet too long?

That lady's boobie pic is giving me one of those on my chest.

I had my bachelor party at the castle in muskogee. After we all, uhm, fell asleep, someone robbed us blind.

Good times...

The dude that runs the ORF is a complete dick. He's run off several good acts & performers & treated us like crap when we did the kettle corn up there a few years ago. F' him and his stupid little kingdom.

He takes that crap so seriously. He once told one of my friends she couldn't perform because she wasn't wearing "period glasses". Ya know, I'm not even sure there were glasses around in 1508.

I wanted to dress up as Biggles, one of the Inquisitors from Monty Python's sketches & run around reciting the sketch poking people with pillows & tieing them up to dish racks. Unfortunately I was threatened with divorce if I did. :D

I have been around the world and shot at a few times. That said, as I have stated before, anyone who runs a kettle corn concession outdoors in summer in this part of the country is a stone cold stud.

That is all.

Heh. That reminds me of working the Moore 4th of July celebration in 2004. We made about $1200 in about 6 hrs., but it was 130 degrees in the tent at 6pm. I was feverishly stirring that kettle for the never diminishing 100 deep line of people waiting for that slightly salty, slightly sweet crunchy goodness.

I literally lost 10 lbs. that day.

Alan? And there was a girl too.......M something, Mandy? I went to school with them at Children's House.

Back then, Jeff ran Children's House and I think his parents owned Muskogee Beverage. I guess he has since bought Pepsi distrib....didn't know that. I only knew him when I was very young, pre 2nd grade, but he was always nice to me and my dad liked him. He was, however, a different breed a cat. We went on a field trip, as a school, in an old school bus that they converted into something slight less uncomfortable. We were gone for a LONG time, went way out west and I'm not even sure where all we stopped but we saw the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Pacific Ocean, Las Vegas, among others. It was a fun trip.

Yeah, I started at Ft. Gibson in 2nd grade as well.

I think it shut down a couple of years after I left which would have been in 1990 I think. So, I guess I started there around '86.

The damned things would chase after me. They didn't chase after anyone else, but when they saw me they'd attack like a pack of wolves on a 3 legged cat. They'd start screeching and spread their wings out and run after me and what not. When you're 5 years old that **** is scary! To this day I am terrified of peacocks.

I also had the absolute worst injury of my life at Montesorri. A friend of mine were outside playing (unsupervised) and were balancing on this fence. Well, he gets up in this tree and I tell him to go up further so I can get in. He tells me there isn't room, so I jump off the fence and then grab onto his leg and pulled him out of the tree. Well, he falls right on top of my leg breaking my femur completely in two and came within a MM of severing a major artery. I started going into shock while my dad got there and rushed me to Tulsa. Anyway, I was in the hospital for about a month and then a body cast for another 3-4 months after that.

Yep, good times good times!
