Dear Fellow Fat Jihadists,

When I began the fat jihad with many of you in January 2006, I was at 204 pounds. My goal was to get down to 180. At the end of the year, I was at 184.

As of yesterday, I broke the 180 barrier! I'm down to 178. And, it's been all dieting, but not some fancy diet scheme. I just drink Slim Fast in the morning, have a light lunch, eat a regular dinner, and don't eat desserts. I also have tried to limit myself to one soda pop a day. Tried.

Anyway, I'm now going to start lifting weights again. I figure if I keep eating the way I have of the past 17 months, walk 20 minutes a day, and lift weights, I can get to and stay between 170-175.

It hasn't been easy - especially during holidays. But, it's been worth the effort.

Heavy weights, low reps, and you can bulk back up to 204.

;)

Good jorb.

Awesome job. I've had some success with my own recent fat jihad, praise be to Allah. Holidays are tough, my rule of thumb for food-related occasions is eat what I want, just don't ever let the ol' tummy get full.

Or to get a giggle out of BSG...

Ohhhh! Portion control! Ohh!

Body for Life is awesome, but it's hard to get started because it's so strict. However, I've got 15 more stubborn pounds I want to lose, and I'm thinking about starting a 12-week BFL program this summer when I can establish a daily routine.

I wanted to be like Dan Marino and did the Nutrisystem. In six weeks, lost about twenty pounds. The program makes you poop loike a goose.

My wife and I are on week 19 of bfl, and once you start, you will want to do it for life. the results are amazing. Be sure to buy the cookbook as the food is excellent. I will be 41 this month and I look and feel like a much younger man. The baldness and the laughlines give me away though!!! ;)

Congrats.
I broke 200 for the first time in 18 years this week. This puts me down 41 pounds in 13 months while quitting smoking.

Congrats that's awesome. I myself am down 23lbs, but I'm not really dieting and I'm not watching what I eat just eating a whole lot less.

I made it through the entire honeymoon eating crap and didn't gain a pound and it was awesome!

Congratulations, y'all! Right now I'm on the "pre-trial" diet. Eat whatever you want, if you remember to. Add a big side of stress! I'm down 2 pounds in 10 days.
