Who the hell is running the hurricane center these days? How in the world could they call a spin-up of thunderstorms in early May a "subtropical storm"?

We have a feed from ATC at work. There were tons of planes flying right through the thing. Here's a tip: When a piece of crap Learjet 45 flies right through the center of the "storm", it's not a storm.

There's a low over Texas that looks pretty on satellite pictures. I am now declaring it a Subtropical Land Typhoon.

I guess we will have 20+ storms this year because anything that produces rain over water will get a name.

It's subtropical in origin, but it has a warm core.

I blame the dumbed-down, politically-correct new Fujita scale myself.

Another tropical storm hits Florida. Now the insurance companies have an excuse to raise everybody's rates again.

Why does Florida suck so much?
