wait a minute. Where's Gel-Boy? He's got the best offense in the nation - surely that should count for something.

Its a "What have you done for me lately" kinda world

so what, two of the coaches ranked above him are perfect against him. One even embarrassed him!
I won't argue with those rankings except in my eyes Carrol is the best coach in the game right now.

seem about accurate and even though I think peterson being that high is a joke,he is undefeated as a coach and did beat us. Stoops goes 12-1 or 13-0 this year and he will be back in the top 2 or 3

great position coach Collier, lets continue to let him mature as a coordinator.
I for one miss the fire they played with under Mike.

I am with ya, I dont think he has reached his potential yet but the fact of the matter is we are a Top D every year!!!

I don't have any problem with those rankings. I'm glad we have one of the best coaches in the nation.

Having Tressel above Stoops in that list is retarded.

His track record this century is nearly identical to ours -- 'cept he has played in 1 less national championship game than we have.

Oh, and he didn't dominate in the national championship game he *did* win.

I'd think Allen Patrick would get more respect seeing he ran for over 150 a game when he was in there.

For what its worth, Mel Kiper lists him as a top 5 back in the nation coming back for the upcoming senior year and draft

how does reggie not make the list in special teams

You mean reggie(fair catch inside the ten) smith? The guy has great potential and is very dangerous, but you are not going to be considered one of the top guys when you make the common sense mistakes that he made all last year! Now thats just MHO and you dont have to accept that, just thought Id throw it out there!

I know the talking heads didn't agree, and I may be completely wrong, but I had the feeling the staff was holding Reggie back last year and having him fair catch everything to avoid disasters and make sure we got possession. Could be with another off season of work at fielding kicks they'll give him more freedom this season. Just a thought, mind you.

Kelly is ranked good though. Above Bowman and Sweed.

Coaches aside, the player rankings seemed pretty arbitrary.

It's because Bob has to step in every year and save his butt.
