I had my bed stripped, sheets in the laundry. I went out in the backyard to feed the foster dog and she beat me in. Where did she go with her muddy self? STRAIGHT FOR MY BED. I now have a REALLY muddy mattress

I've tried spot shot, bleach, soap and water, NOTHING has worked. I'm furious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put on your old mascot uni, roll in the mud, and jump in her bed!

Try carpet cleaning foam. "Scrubbing Bubbles" works in the same way. If that doesn't work, try a carpet/furniture cleaning machine that sucks the cleaner back out. With either one, try to use as little moisture as possible so it doesn't affect the insides of your mattress.

This might help, too.

I just hit it with scrubbing bubbles. gonna let it sit a few minutes and then blot and scrub.

I now have a fresh lemony smelling mattress.

Just flip the mattress over and go to bed.

that sucks, but what's a "foster dog"? is that like an austrailian sheep dog that brings you fosters?

OK, serious part of the post: try a carpet steam-cleaning device.

Now back to normal: I mean really, it's just mud; clean off what you can and call it good. And who cares if it looks stained? You'll put sheets over it anyway, and no one I know buys used mattresses. Might as well buy a used hotel mattress. At least the dog didn't crap all over the mattress. ;)

I probably would have let it dry, vacuumed up what I could.
Then I would have tried beating the mattress to loosen up the rest.

Keep the doors closed next time. ;)

besides, when it comes down to it, the cops will be worried about hidden biological stains rather then mud stains when they come to visit you :D

Just roll away from the wet spot like usual and call it a night. :D

Isn't it illegal to sell them?

You know, unless you can actually last long enough for both rooms.

The exotic ladies of the Far East must be sadly disappointed, Roundeye. ;)

Don't sell yourself short, dude. If you're as fat as you say, you should be able to get a good two minutes out of simply trying to get your belt all the way off. :D

soonerboomer93
5/7/2007, 11:45 PM
i'm supposed to take it all the way off????

actually, it's their trembling in fear at the thought of me crushing them beneath my mass makes it extra hot, other wise, i'd hit that 1 minute mark easy....

it looked better this morning. I"ll probably try a little more cleaning on it this afternoon and then call it good.

no, but it might be worth a try. thanks You are most welcomed. TD, I recently got a Bissell Spot Bot and already it has more than paid for itself. They sell these two cleaners to use in it called Oxy Gen and Little Green. It comes with sample Bottles. It would probably work well on a mattress. If you have carpet or rugs, the Spot Bot sure does come in handy. You can even use it 'hands free'. Put it on top of the stain and go about your chores and it works its magic and beeps when its done. I just cleaned the entire runner at my church from all the mud tracked in with my Spot Bot filled with Oxy Gen, Little Green, and it looks practically brand new. If you were close by I would run it over to you. :D

Here is a site that will send it to you with no shipping charge.

I thought about one of those when I had carpet. Now that I have all wood and tile floors, I got rid of all of my carpet cleaning solutions and gave my mom back her shampooer. dammit!
