It absolutely boggles my mind that they very few things I ask my husband to do, goes undone a good 50% of the time. I just found the Easter package I asked him to send to our granddaughter still in his truck!

No wonder I never got a thank you. :(

The package of veal chops thawing the fridge will not be cooked by me. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y86/OUmom/28.gif

If he doesn't do what you ask most of the time, aren't you kind of a fault for continuing to expect him to do things when he has an established track record of not doing what you ask him to do? Why would he suddenly start doing what you asked him to do now?

what made you too good to send that Easter package? ;)

It seems to me that you should know by now not to ask him to do important tasks. There is no one here to blame but you!

So you are saying that you are married to a guy. If you wanted basic daily tasks to get done by your spouse, you should have married a woman.:D

Its all my fault for believing that since I had him sign "PaPa" to the card I place in the box of love that I spent hours preparing, that he would do his part.

I do believe it is your husband that spends all day making teeth all better and you do what?

:D...and it is me who spends all day filing the claims and arguing with the insurance companies, ordering and stocking the supplies, running broken machinery to Tuttle and back, sterilizing the bloody instruments, answering the phone, figuring the pay roll, paying the bills, running the errands, cleaning up, laundering the scrubs, and scheduling the appointments.

Just nevermind. :(

I thought you had a couple employees?

MamaMia
5/6/2007, 12:44 PM
I thought you had a couple employees? The girls are certified chair side dental assistants and X-Ray techs. They work chair side, take and develop the X-Rays, assist his royal majesty, do lab work and clean the operatories in between patients. I run the office at the clinic, plus I mow the lawns, do the housework and other than what goes on the grill, I cook every meal.

You guys are terrible. Seriously... how difficult is it to take a package to the Post Office for your wife.

You guys are terrible. Seriously... how difficult is it to take a package to the Post Office for your wife.Thank you SoonerGirl. You are very thoughtful. It was a very heavy package full of books and some jellies and marmalades I made, or else I would have done it myself. Our little granddaughter loves my Clementine Marmalade. :(

Wow! All that hard work and he couldn't do that for you? Tsk! Tsk! Some men just don't realize how good they have it.

Sounds like a wake up call is in order for sure.

You should be so happy you have to sit on your hands to keep from clapping over the 50% of the stuff he does take care of, Miss Glassishalfempty.

Mama, I'm with you on this one.

Our Golden Retriever is allergic to everything, including grass (sad for a dog). We let the furries out back to do their thing and have to let them back in immediately or Ben will roll in the grass - which means he has to have a bath or get Prednisone. (I'm not a huge fan of longterm steriod use if it can be avoided).
Twice this week, my husband has "fogotten" to let them back in immediately. Once he "forgot" to put the dog food bowls (which he had just filled) down for them to eat. <sigh>

But he is changing the ceiling lights out right now, which I hate to do.

Mom, quick bragging on your husband.

Most of us guys strive to do 25% of what our wives want.
