My grandparents kicked my *** in it though. It's still a fun card game, and I think almost as good as pitch.

what's the difference between gin, rummy and gin-rummy?

gin is my favorite card game. I probably have 3000 games under my belt on yahoo in the last 6 years playing VERY sporadically.

It didn't come up. I am under the impression that there are a variety of rummies, and I was being taught the easiest one.

90% of the time we play pitch, and the other 10% till now we played UNO. The whole experience caught me off guard.

Liverpool rummy is a lot of fun but it's considerably more complex and takes longer to play than regular gin rummy.

4,5,10, or 13 point?

i don't know, it's not my part of the family really. i've seen family films of pitch playing that's about 50 years old. on the original family homestead near Morrison, OK.

Probably 10 or 13 then. 4 point is fairly rare outside of Nebraska, to the point it is called Nebraska four point everywhere else. At family reunions we have massive pitch tourney's with 5 or 6 tables going.

So let me guess...you started off by totally kicking ***, but then quickly realized you had no strategy for what to do after that?

War is the game that we played in my family. We had some epic battles, learning to cheat is key.

Rummy is fun.

Bush thought so too, until the midterm elections.
