Let's see:

Hyphenated names tend to not be as euphonious as single names.

There's a bunch of people in this country that have a gut reaction against hyphenated names.

Sound like valid reasons for someone in a glorified popularity contest to change her name.

at minimum, the criticism that should be made is less the partisan caterwaul about Hillary's opportunism but the general one: the shallow, commercialized conventions of our most important electoral process and the gullibility of the American people.
