My cousin did the 5 mile walk.

Thought it was impressive that the woman who won was only running her second marathon. We were hoping to see the Memorial tonight, but dinner with my family ran from 6:00 to 9:00.

We'll try to get over there tomorrow before leaving town.

My daughter and her friends ran it this morning. They enjoyed it.

The "running doc" for the marathon is my old boss. TC is not only a nice guy, but an excellent doc.

Where were you? We sat and watched and cheered from around 34th & Classen for a while...there was an OU tent or something there too. I think we were at the 22m mark.

Yep, that one!
We had about 100 volunteers, a DJ, balloon sculptures, water, powerade, oranges, bananas, GU and pretzels for the runners...we also had sponges for the runners..i'm not sure any other station had those, but they LOVED them.

He interviewed me for med school. I didn't like him very much after the interview.
I rounded with him once as a first-year student, he was nicer that time.

I thought they got rid of contraceptive sponges.

I think I got in in spite of him, not because of him. :)

Those sponges were awesome. I put two under my hat and wet them a couple of times through Heritage Hills. That spot is great as the Classen stretch is the worst part of the race.

I'm glad I didn't. That heat would have killed me. I thought it was bad in Dallas at the Whiterock back in 2000, but it was about 10 degrees warmer yesterday. Hope everyone made it through OK.

I got extremely sick Saturday and couldn't do it. I was very disappointed but what can you do. :(

I'll try again next year.

It was the throwing up and 'rehea all day. I didn't think it would go well with running 13 miles. If it was a headache or something I'D HAVE BEEN THERE!
