the vikings site actually talks about it instead of just listing him on there.
1:48 p.m. - The Vikings bolstered their linebacker corps in the sixth round by selecting a talented linebacker out of Oklahoma. Rufus Alexander was the pick, the 176th overall in 2007 and he is a playmaker with great instincts and ball-hawking ability. He measures in at 6-1, 228 pounds and he registered a 4.69 40-yard dash.
Alexander started all 14 games in 2006, earning a first team All-American (coaches) selection, his second straight first team All-Big 12 honor, and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award, after recording 118 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one interception, and four forced fumbles.
I will be interested to see what coach Childress and Rick Spielman have to say about this player.
The Vikings have two more selections remaining, both in the seventh round.

With Adrian AND Rufus drafted by the Vikings this year, Minnesota has just become one of my favorite teams.

Here's Minnesota's pre-draft roster. Quickly skimming through, I don't see anyone with #42.
But then, I didn't see anyone with #28, and the pic I saw showed AD holding up a #1 purple and gold jersey.

He had 28 at his Vikings press conference. Usually they just have a generic #1 jersey at the draft.
