I am thinking about buying something like this and mounting it in one of my saddle bags on my motorcycle. Just wondering if this is going to be a problem. Will it draw too much current from my battery or alternator

if it says XM ready, do you have to add an XM receiver?
I'd be interested in one of these as well for my boat.
I love my XM radio in my truck.

Thats what i need to know as well, I have xm in my truck. I need tunes on my bike. I think if these stereos have xm already in them (like our truck). It would be cheaper than buying say a XM roady, stereo, than speakers.

I kind of like this one. I can mount the wired remote on my handle bars.

OUHOMER: Why dont you just buy the portable XM radio? I understand you can put a bunch of mp3s on it as well.
If I thought it could drive a couple of smaller speakers in my boat, that is what I would have so I could move it to another venue if needed.
Kinda pricey though.

The amp in the last post you made is what I want. I have some waterproof speakers already, but would prefer some waterpfoof flush mounted ones. I certainly don't need chrome anything. Instant rust in the salt water environment.
That is a decent price on the Samsung Helix.
Have you seen the Pioneer GEXInno1 ?
An interesting feature is the ability to record a song you are listening to.
Due to a 10 minute buffer, it will record it from the beginning.

The only reason I was thinking about buying a full stereo. I was hoping they would be cheaper and you get a cd player. But than again it would probably draw to much current for the little battery and alt.
