I just want someone from Chesapeake to drill on my land in Kiowa County please. There is so much gas under there that I can smell it when I'm picking sand plums by the creek. Chesapeake just got our lease. I would like to build an extra bathroom. Mowing my own lawn is a big help but with two kids at OU, the money is getting tight. Thank you. :)

If you can smell it at surface that's not necessarily a good thing. It means that there is a seep and the gas is getting out of the cap rock. It could also mean the the anticline is full of hydrocarbons and is overflowing out and up near your sand plums. That anticline could be a few sections away.

Thinking about it, natural gas doesn't have a smell.

The geologist made a good report on it. I think he said that it has 7 seven cells? Does that sound right? :)

Those Chesapeake cats are hiring a lot of lawyers. I have three classmate "sharks to be" who were picked up by Chesapeake just since Christmas.

as a mineral owner I don't have nice things to say about Chesapeake, as an employee of a service company I do have nice things to say about them.

Mama, what do you mean by 7 seven cells?? Also where is the lease you are speaking of? Township/Range/Section? Sorry, I meant 'zones'. The geology expert said that there are 7 to 12 "zones" and I don't know the range and section. Its near Mountain View. I was just hoping that some of you nice folks were with Chesapeake and that one of you could go over there and drill up our gas, but alas I suppose I will have to wait until the evil peoples lease expires. :(
