Dear Fellow Posters,

I need your help. I'm taking part in a bowl-a-thon this weekend to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's summer camp program. Each summer MDA operates a wheelchair-accessable camp in Guthrie that allows kids suffering from neuromuscular diseases the chance to take part in activities that most of us take for granted, but as you can imagine it's no cheap feat. If you would like more information on MDA's summer camp, you can find it here (https://www.mdaevent.org/local_services.aspx?j=a1624b7a-4428-42d9-9a92-1ac6459a2425&t=#Summer_Camp).

I'm usually hesitant to put stuff like this on the board, but this is a really good cause and I figure if everyone can pay $20 for a shotgun raffle, you can spare a little for these kids. ;) Thanks in advance for all your help.

In like flint! Shotguns are cool, but this is much more important - direct impact on sick children.

I applaud you for helping sick children. You get megaspek from me!

PS, the rest of you slackers can chip in a little coin too!

If just 20 of you do $5 each - that's a c-note to help the MDA

Hmmmm...pirate hat goes against my beliefs and would be kind of short notice. I can do "t-shirt ninja", though.

Thanks to everyone who donated. Thanks in large part to your generosity, I was able to raise $335 for MDA. I was the top fundraiser, and my team was top fundraising team. I (and we) couldn't have done it without you guys. I knew that the SF community would come through like always, and you didn't disappoint.

Thank you again, from the bottom of my (now once again rotten) heart. :D

Let's just say I raised more money than I scored...but it was all for a good cause, and there was beer for 1 1/2 games. ;)
