I'd really like GM if it didn't suck.

And that's more a commentary of the way they run their business than the car they manufacture.

There's a theory that this is a good thing. GM has been the fat corporation, #1 in the auto industry for 80 years. They got lazier and more bloated as time went on and they remained unchallenged for #1. They seem to be changing their ways and learning to compete again. Their new cars are tons better than 20 years ago, and their doing it more efficiently than before. Maybe getting knocked off their pedestal is what they needed.

20 years ago they had about the same profit as Ford with WAY more cars sold.
