I just shed a tear of nostalgic joy for dear old Fizzies. I thought might be the only person alive who remembered them.
They remind me of playing in the lawn sprinkler on a hot Oklahoma summer Saturday, and coming into the house for baloney sandwiches (white bread, mayonnaise and baloney) lovingly served by dear young saintly Mom (God rest her soul). She'd ask what flavor of Fizzies I wanted; what a pleasant dilemma to decide. <sigh>

When I was in Jr High, my mom worked at Wedgewood (now an apartment complex with the amusement park's olympic-size swimming pool and a "moat" that may have once been a ride). I used to find golf balls from Wedgewood's driving range in that water. Apparently, TGI Friday's and the animal hospital sit where the park's parking lot once was. The bridge connecting the two is still there.
