Suck for a decade at one of the top five football programs in CF history and hire a hoy shot NFL guy to coach, I guess.

I think they set a U.S. record for instantaneous yawning by a massive gathering somewhere during the 2nd qtr.

The buckeyes drew 75,000...Penn State drew 71,000 and Notre Dame 56,000...just sick.

didn't close to 50 show up for us in 1999 when Bob and Mike came to town?

Admission was free and the weather was very nice. I thought they'd draw about 50K - 60K on Sat., but 92K is very surprising.

4/23/2007, 11:06 AM
Sure they didn't just have 50k and use 'Bama math to get them to 92k? I'm sure having 92k at the spring game entitles them to another National Championship.

or did they make the ticket a mandatory $5 add to season tickets and then count tickets sold and not actual butts in seats?

According to the EPA, Oklahoma has the most diverse terrain in the United States. [8] The EPA recognizes Oklahoma as one of only four U.S. states to have more than 10 distinct ecological regions, with 11 within its borders. The high number of ecoregions coupled with the state's relative size and a durastic change in climate progressively from the northwest to southeast makes each Oklahoma region greatly distinctive from the next.

Oh, and 92K for a spring game is freakin' amazing. More proof that college football is a religion of sorts in Alabama....surely we can identify. ;)

wikipedia has had its problems before and has received much criticism so I am a bit puzzled on that one. From Oklahoma City up to Guymon, Guymon to Grant County, Grant County to Dillwater, Dillwater to OKC it's all the same. I see no difference as far as distinct ecological regions. I like Oklahoma and all but I see no beach and palm trees. Oklahoma is quite the Cats Meow, lemme tell ya. Well, at least we have the botannical gardens and White Water.

Heh... If you drive on 412 W from Stillwater to all your little destinations, you will think you fell off the face of the Earth, see the Quartz Mountains, climb about 3,000 feet, and run into a bunch of buttes. Oh, and you'll pass some salt plains along the way.

I like the salt plains and the sand dunes. I can't believe I left that out.

Fireworks City is also cool considering it's just the big warehouse. It does however have its own zip code.

So I don't get off topic, 92000, wow, that's a lot.

Alabama's spring game 92,000 drew more people than have ever seen Oklahoma play regardless of location. According to www.soonersports.com the largest crowd to ever watch an OU game was 88,119 at the horseshoe in 1977.

I guess i haven't posted on here enough to make a new topic or whatever, so this will be off subject to the Bama spring game. I was just watching some 2006 highlights and I think Paul Thompson might be the most underappreciated QB if not player in OU history. This guy had basically no starting experience and helped lead us to a BCS game..Now i know he occasionally missed the deep ball, but he made alot of damn good throws last year. If halzle would've started we would have been independence bowl bound or something like that. With that being said, I can't wait til the 2007 season. Our running game will be unstoppable with Patrick, Brown, Murray, and everyone else. OUr O-Line will be dominant. OUr QB only has to play solid and limit turnovers. OUr recievers are gonna be great once again with a buttload of talent in Kelley, Iglesias, Johnson, Chaney, Caleb, Tennell, and maybe even Carter Whitson!! TE's should be good, just hope Eldridge will be alright. Defensively our secondary will be the best it's been since the '03 season. Dline should be solid. Only question mark is the linebackers and how they will come along, because none of the proposed starters have alot of experience except for Lofton. I'm thinking the only loss we might have is against Texas because our schedule sets up perfectly with the only tough road game being at Texas Tech. Although, @ Tulsa might be tough for a few quarters..expecting big things for 2007 :D
