Saw this on cold pizza. What do you guys think? If they made one for OU, which game should they do?

Hate to say it but Fiesta Bowl vs Boise. Just watched it last week and 4th and 19; it seemed a great comeback victory was ours.

Thanks King Crimson, I was 11 yrs old watching that game and I remember sneaking out of my room while mom was asleep and watching. I couldn't remember who caught the TD, but I remember Valore catching the 2 pt. conversion.!!

Absolutely no doubt it was Nebraska 1971 (hint: my screen name).

Having lived in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and now Michigan all my life, I'm frequently asked why all the Sooners clothing, discussion of hatred toward Texas, etc.

I begin by explaining that in 1971 when I was 10 years old I watched my first ever football game on TV, and by chance it happened to be the classic game against Nebraska. Being the twisted sort of kid that I was, it was clear that I was going to root for "the bad guys". I remind them that in 1971 we had black & white TV sets, which made the Sooners helmets black. And this being long before the wonderful days of political correctness, the black helmets in my youthful mind were symbolic of pirates or something evil, so I picked the Sooners. And when the black helmet guys lost to these goodie goodies, I refused to accept it as a moralistic teaching of "good always triumphs in the end" and became that much more committed to their cause. Somewhere in my hard head there must be an explanation for how once I've made up my mind it tends to remain fixed that way forever, but at least in this case it was the right decision.

So even if it weren't regarded as one of the greatest games ever by virtue of it's on field play and significance to the National rankings that year, by the mere fact that it marks the beginning of my allegiance to the Sooners, it was for me the greatest game ever.

looks like it was 80. hmph. but anyway, enjoy iman-22..

it's great how the color guy is mid-sentence about to pimp FSU for the #1 and then Watts hits Rhodes for 40 yards. and you can't beat a Chet Winters highlight!

It was 81, the Sooners beat FSU 24-7 in the 80 Orange Bowl.
It was OU's third consecutive OB victory (and fourth straight OB), and Watts won the MVP in 80 and 81.

2 games outside of OU. Michigan 24-Ohio State 12 in 1969. Bo Schembechler's first game against Woody Hayes ended the Buckeyes long winning streak and may have protected OU's 47 game streak. It was the defining moment in bringing Michigan back to national prominence after a decade or longer in the dumps. That was the game that made me a college football fan for life.

Michigan over Indiana about 1979 or1980. With 6 seconds to go, John Wangler stands on his own 45 and hits freshman Anthony Carter at about the 15 and Carter drags 2 Hoosiers into the endzone. I lived in Cincinnati at the time and just happened to turn on the Detroit radio station covering the game and heard this last play as broadcast by long-time voice of Michigan football, Bob Ufer. https://www.ufer.org/sounds/Wrangler_Carter.mp3

Texas A&M, 1950. Vessels, Heath, and Claude Arnold brought us back in the final minutes. I have never seen a wilder crowd at Norman.
