I thought this kid and his dad couldn't embarrass Shawnee anymore than they already have. I guess I was wrong.

So he got hurt in the second game of his senior season and basically quit going to school which meant he didn't pass a couple of core classes. So now he's got an extra semester of eligibility left so he can take these classes to graduate.

It's not the first time I've heard of a kid doing something like this, but the one I know personally had to attend the entire year and graduated a year late.

I don't have a problem with the kid getting the nod to play, but make him go the entire year and not just a semester.

I think it's dumb. But then again, spending an extra semester in HS, how hard could that be?

do you think if he has a good year he may get a offer from a college?

No way......High School is not about sports.........Sports can certainly be a big part of the experience (was for me) but ya don't get a second chance. Sounds like this was part of their plan once he got hurt. Wow, that's just crazy. Time for the kid to grow up and move on. Their are JUCO's everywhere looking for QB's.

I think the OSSAA backed themselves into a corner on this one with the precedent they set in a case for Chucky Caufield (former 'Ada' QB who played baseball at Seminole/OU).

Did anyone hear his dad on the Sports Animal? Traber really let him have it!

I heard it. He sounds like a real redneck coach.

Traber dominated him. It was funny

I'm a Republican and I can't stand him personally. and what's with the bow tie? did he get fired or something?

Yeah I heard traber rip him up as well.

It was unbelieveable that he could sit there and try to say "non-weight-bearing" meant he had to be in bed.

When he finally gets to college, I hope it's out of state. I'm sick of hearing from this kid and his dad.

Tucker needs to tell his dad to stop holding his hand. This is a joke and dad-coach SHOULD be embarassed of himself.

How old is this Brown kid? When I went to school you couldn't play if you were 18 before a certain date during the school year!

Back to school. Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool. I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight. Ohhhh, back to school. Back to school. Back to school. Well, here goes nothing.

I'm not sure why he gets a fifth year. Anyone hear the reasoning behind it?

Oh, and "Go Wolves"!!!!

Apparently my 64-year-old mother comes from the planet Krypton, because she wasn't bed ridden for three weeks after having knee replacement. True, she couldn't put weight on it that quick, but she could get around on crutches.

I didn't get to hear Brown and Traber go at it, but Brown coached Wewoka when I was in high school and was a major punk then . . . I can only imagine what he's like livin' through his kid.

I didn't think it was that big a deal, but I think I'm in the minority.

Thanks Aggie!

As for an opinion - I really don't like this decision. This shouldn't have happened this way, Tucker should be in college and his dad should be slapped!

Overbearing? Really? I'm actually leaning towards protective.

I can't say that I wouldn't have called in and provided the facts regarding the topic if I was in a similar situation.
