Our daughter is 21 today. I'm considering bringing flowers home to Mrs Homey in commemoration of this significant event in which she played an <ahem> important role. Good idea?

Is there a April "birth flower?" (uyou know like they have birthstones?) I'm thinking 21 of those if there is one. If not, maybe 21 pink rosebuds in some baby's breath and what not.

Aprils flower is the Sweet Pea. and no, not Popeye's baby.

Nope actually. I just don't think the ladies get enough credit for punching these younguns out. I was there for the fun part, and I was also there for screaming, sweating and grimacing. She didn't even have the benefit of a one of those spinal tap dealios because she was too far into it by the time we got to the hospital. IOW, she did it cold turkey with nary a drug. It was awful.

Sweet Pea. That's kinda funny. That's one of the things we called her when she was a tyke. I wonder if any of these florists have sweetpeas? I reckon I'll make some enquiries.

No argument to any of this.

Just commenting on the question.

You might as well ask those of the fairer sex if they like jewlery, shoes, and trips to the day-spa.:D

Give her a watermelon with a rubber band around it.

She'll get it. ;)

Seriously, good on ya for doing something for your wife on the day.

If by watermelon you mean jewelry and by rubberband you mean a pretty ribbon, then that is a very nice idea.

Otherwise, the flowers are very thoughtful. I am sure she will love any kind you get her.

I'm starting to see how Lid became the man he is. You should really check the courtrooms for estrogen leaks. ;)
(It's a nice idea, Homey. Just didn't need to mention it in front of the guys. :))

Homey's just polishing up that lawyerly practice of never asking a question to which you do not already know the answer. Our guy IS a smart 'un! ;)

OF COURSE YOU CAN GIVE HER THE DANG FLOWERS!!

True, but it was either my above comment, or "commemorating this special day" by buying her some panties that match his. I stand by my comment. ;)

I think it would be a very nice gesture (the flowers, that is). And....a gift certificate to a day spa for both the mom/daughter. Then you get the day to yourself and everyone wins :)

dasies are good...every little yellow spek in the middle of the daisy is a separate flower..so she got thousands :)

Our daughter is 21 today. I'm considering bringing flowers home to Mrs Homey in commemoration of this significant event in which she played an <ahem> important role. Good idea?Thats a very thoughtful idea. I'll never forget the evening before his birthday when my son phoned to tell me he wouldn't be spending his birthday at home, but would be water skiing with his friends instead. Then the next morning, the girls all left for the city to shop and to see a movie that I really wanted to see, but they didn't even invite me along.

I spent that whole morning thinking about the day he was born. Then I went and got me our first puppy dog. My husband sensed I was depressed when I grabbed the cake slicer and started eating the 'Happy' off of our sons birthday cake, so he went and got me some red wine and a dozen cream colored roses. :(

That made me feel all better. :)

Daisies are the most popular April birth flowers.
