I'm not in love with teachin a 3 or 4 year old kid to say all that... Probably comes from gettin my *** kicked for saying something even close to that when i was a kid...

But to each his own

Yes, I've found that giggling and laughing when your kids say something they shouldn't is a GREAT way to get 'em to stop.

When my middle son was 8, he was playing with some neighbor kids who "taught" him a new word. At the time, he knew there were words he shouldn't use like "poop" or "stupid", but the concept of a truly "forbidden" word was far beyond his understanding. But he likes to push buttons. He walked in the house, and screamed at the top of his lungs "HOLY SH**!!!!". We looked at him with the look of death, and thoroughly lectured him on how bad that word was and how much trouble he'd get in if he used it again. He left fully chastised and hasn't said it since.

After that, we locked ourselves in our bedroom and laughed our a$$e$ off. :D

It was "What The Hell?" with mine.

1st time you get a pass and a discussion.

2nd time, no disscussion, no pass.

3rd never happened.

First time I swore in front of my parents I called myself a ****head. I think I was in first grade.

Man, I got a spanking for that one. I still don't swear around my parents very much.
