Geez,it seems that if you were so inclined April would be a month that you might want to take that month long trip to a desserted island.

These are the things that have happened in April in recent memory:
The Waco Siege
The OKC Bombing.
Columbine
The VT tragedy.
And(somebody correct me if I'm wrong) the Sep 11th tragedy was originally planned for April but the slimes didn't have the logistics worked out.

I think April is the month with the most wars started... My birthday alone (20th) has about 3-4 dictators born on it. Lots of bad stuff.

I think Easter offsets it all, though.

dude, good Friday was in April too...

Passover doesn't exactly commemorate a peaceful time either

i think it's the taxes that make people go crazy ;)

October is my favorite month but my wife wouldn't let me name any of the kids October or even Octavius.

BTW, the Rawandan genocide started in April.

the crazies have been couped up all winter hatching crazy plans.
It's too damn cold to go shoot/blown up **** from November to March in a good chunk of the world. Then you got all the people stewing all winter, getting more depressed in the bad weather, then bang **** goes down once it warms up. Once global warming really sets in, I anticpate that everybody will be wondering why people go crazy in Late February/Early March.

Then there's the weather this year.

I've personally seen snow, went to a Rangers-Red Sox game in 40 degree weather, dodged a tornado, went through one more day of cold, expecting more severe weather today...

And then it's going to warm up into the 80's later this week.
