Cool - they are having a golf tournament!

is there a learning curve associated with cooking on that bad boy? If there is is a steep one?

Its pretty much a no-brainer. The only moderately tricky part is temperature control -- but that's just a function of controlling the draft via the damper at the bottom. You get the knack pretty quick. IMHO, its the best, most reliable and efficient way to cook outdoors ever devised by mankind.

no, I purchased one of the eggs that they will be doing the demo's on at a discounted rate. I get to pick it up after the event.

and please don't sweat the fact there is no warranty unless you take delivery at your residence. The dang things are virtually indestructible and if it did crack somehow, they make you take it apart to only send the back the busted part and shipping would kill you on that anyway.

yeah, I wasn't too worried. It's not like I'm never going to move again. But, yeah, some people online really freak out about that warranty deal.

I really don't think it matters. if they were prone to failure, they wouldn't be as popular as they are. Heck, I moved mine from Alabamy (without a banjo my knee) and it came through just fine.

They WANT you to think they're here to enhance humankind's gustatory pleasures!!! Can you not see that they are only the advance guard; the reconaissance element; the "moles", sent by the Pod People Of Pluto?!?!Awake! Awake! Sound the alarm!
This is no drill!
