I'll take one of the best defenses over the world's greatest offense any day. Defense wins championships.

Texas Tech usually have better offenses than the other 11 teams in the league, and they still have yet to win a CC.

Their offense... using the stats from that thread were not that much better and according to them they have all world players and we just had a reciever playing quarterback.

I wonder, does that make Sand Aggy the world most powerful offense?:D :stunned:

Heh. This...

MustangPokeFan: Yeah, I can't wait until the "end of conversation" in Norman this year. I'm sure there will be a myriad of Sooner excuses.......

...followed in the very next post by this....

orng2dabone: There was massive holding at the point of attack that sprung patrick -7. We win. Zac was in +7 we win by 8. End of conversation.

...just made me laugh.

Some of the poke fans are ridiculous. 75 % of the people i work with are oSu alums and it's hard on the ears to listen to their excuses day after day.

Score is 3-0 after the first quarter in the Aggie spring game...if the most powerful offense in the world can't roll over their d, what will they do against an actual defense?

If only we would have ran the "statue of liberty" at the end of the OU game, we wouldn't be discussing this.

Right... because a statue of liberty would have gotten you 30-40 yards.

Excuses, something there is an abundence of in trailor park u fans...

If you're going to assume intellectual superiority, shouldn't you at least spell your insult correctly? :D

And, as expected, the "statistical moral victory" thread has begun it's death sprial into a "we's better at golf and rasslin" thread.

Sounds like everyone on the aggie board has already OD'd. THE GREATEST OFFENSE IN THE WORLD my rear end. Doesn't matter how powerful your offense is if you can't win a big game, not to mention never winning the conference championship. The aggies can't carry the Sooner's lunchpails!

They're right to some degree.

They will have a very talented offense returning. They will score a lot of points. They have some very good to great skill players returning. And they DID outgain us in yardage while having the disadvantage of playing against our defense.

Bowman is the real deal and would start for OU. And if they ever decide to move Perrish Cox to WR and let him play on the offensive side of the ball he is dangerous.

I'd take Reid over any of our current QBs at the level they're at now (although I'm hoping Bradford and/or Nichol will be better than Reid currently is by the time they're seniors...or even this year :D). And they have another Qb who played pretty good for a Redshirt Freshman.

They have two tough RBs who could start for many D1 schools not named OU. Not world-beaters, but good solid RBs, especially Dantrell Savage.

I don't think they'll beat us. I'm not even predicting a score one way or the other. For starters, it's in Norman and minus 2001 we usually do well at home against them.

All I'm saying is that they are going to be very successful on offense against a lot of teams and I can see why they are optimistic right now.

Right on the money about Texas Tech.

Leach has the best offense but no Championships.

Defense wins championships.

Watch out though, Osu is gonna be pretty good.

Boy, those UO fans sure do think they have a lot to brag about. Sure they can brag all they want when they talk about the past in football but lets talk about the present in athletics. UO fans seem to forget that they have other sports besides football. I believe OSU is leading the ****** Series this year 7-6 so far. They have not updated it lately but I am pretty sure I am correct. Although, it may be tied because OSU plays UO twice in mens tennis this year and OSU has allready beat them once so I am counting that and leaving it at 7-6 OSU. Here is the link. http://www.okstate.com/ViewArticle.d...&ATCLID=612221 (http://www.okstate.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=200&ATCLID=612221)

Now I know that UO fans may smirk at this because all they care about is football but the only thing keeping them alive in this series is their women's sports. As for their mens sports, they have beat us in football(barely) and they split with us in basketball (lets not forget they didnt even make it to a post-season tournament and they barely did anything in the big 12 tournament). If everything goes like it should, we should see Pistol Pete breaking out the broom again in baseball too. With that said, go ahead and talk all the football trash you want because we all know who the superior athletic department is. The sad thing about all of this is that even when we beat them in football next year, they will still be talking about the past.

They actually have a site that keeps up with only the OU-OSU series' in all sports. That seems a bit obsessive to me, but each to their own I guess.

The agpies do realize that their "superior athletic department" is 2-5 in that challenge series, right?
