The weather guys are so excited!
Baseball-sized hail, 70 mph winds, hooks on the maps, sirens going off south of us (WTH - it's not due here until 7:30).

Tornado warning! I'm charging up the camera Paw!

glad I'm not there. I get enough weather excitement living in OKC.

There's one in East Dallas - they aren't sure if it is on the ground yet.

Heavy rain just started here. I am so excited to see rain! Our cable TV is losing its signal every couple of minutes, which is normal when it rains.

Do y'all sit out on the porch and drink beer during storms like we do up here?

BajaOklahoma

I live in "the bubble", so we're safe. :D In fact, the rain is already slowing down.
PB and Slick are the ones I'm worried about.

One of the guys on the local NBC channel is a Sooner. He was on TV in the place with hills and trees several years ago.

True, but I wanted to watch the storms!
All we got was rain - which we really need.

They think a tornado touched down in 4 places, briefly. Of course, they are willing to attribute straight-line wind damage to tornados down here.

There are a bunch of people at the Texas Motor Speedway camping out for opening day. Glad they are okay.

I can't believe the damage they're showing over in Haltom City. Wow!

I liked the old guy being helped into his car.
They have warned people for the last 24 hrs that this weather was on the way. <shakes head> Stupid whorns.

I'm flipping back and forth on all the channels. I missed that one.

We lucked out and only got rain up here in McKinney. Thank goodness for the rain.

Who but a stupid whorn would go to the grocery store during a tornado warning? You have to get the beer BEFORE the storm hits.

And SoonerGirl, welcome to Dallas bunch - and Collin County.

I'm watching Channel 8 right now and the pictures that they're showing are amazing! Reminds me of the days when I lived in Okla and the tornado sirens would go off nearly every week.

Thanks for the welcome!

We prefer to think of ourselves as missionaries spreading the word of the Sooners.
Just look at all of the Sooners originally from here. See, it's working. :P

I was out running errands when my dad called from Ardmore and told me a tornado was heading my way.

Scared the crap out of me he did. Nothing worse than being in your car when a tornado hits... well except being in a trailer.

My wife's best friend got to see a tornado play hop scotch near DFW Airport.
Thank God she only came away with a cracked windshield.

My kids live & work near DFW. They just got some rain.

I personally think this was the fault of Sooner Stormchaser. If he wasn't trying to catch a flight from here, we wouldn't have had this weather.

pb is A-okay, don't know about Slick. Looks like they got hit pretty bad where he lives.

I was standing outside a Barnes & Noble waiting for the rain to die down when a mother and 3 daughters came running in yelling, "The tornado sirens are going off!!!"

I said, "Oh, yeah, is that what that sound is?"

Then I killed three terrorists with my bare hands.

I was picturing him on top of the playhouse, waving his fist at the tornado.

I remember when I lived in the Big D, we had one tornado warning. The sky was a "sickly" gray green, looking all menacing and everything, clouds were swirling...

nuthin'...just a lot of rain.

And it was humid like a rainforest for the next couple of days.

The only casualty of this storm was some chafing.

Living down here, it doesn't take very long to figure out that Ft Worth gets the ****** weather first, which tones it down for Dallas. :D

Unfortunately, there was a death from a heart attack, which I in no way want to make fun of. And I'm sorry for the people who lost their homes.

I wonder about the Slicks though. Hope they are fine, along with the baby slick house.
