The New Game Platforms

Okay. Now that Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and wii have been out for awhile, is there any concensus on which is the one to buy?

Failing that, which one will the 8-year old and I have more fun playing football or racing games on?

XBOX 360-By far the most games. Not sure when the Elite is coming out, but that'd be the one to buy. So far as I'm concerned, from a pure gaming perspective, it's the best one. Kind of sorry I got rid of mine.

PS3-Just not many games out there. I bought it for the BD and SACD support, which it does very well. Motorstorm is a blast for racing.

Wii-Supposed to be the most fun-at least until the novelty wears off. Subpar graphics make it somewhat of a non-starter for me.

Yeah, the edge that PS2 had over X-Box is now the same edge that the 360 has over the PS3. 360 came out first, has more games available, and costs less.

It can-except for the two games from PS2 that I really want to play, Guitar Hero I and II.

If young kids are the focus, the Wii is the way to go. More kid-friendly games on the Nintendo platforms.

We've had a Wii for a couple of weeks now and love it. The graphics really are not that far behind and the gameplay more than makes up for it. Not to mention if you have a young boy it will get his arse off the couch and actually moving around. Me and my 14 year old daughter are constantly competing against each other.

Oh, and Tiger Woods 2007 on the Wii is the shizzy.

We've had the wii for a while now. It is very fun, but the new games are very slow in coming out.

My roommate bought a wii and watching her play in skimpy outfits is the ****. It's fun to play, too.

I own a 360 and a wii, and have played a ps3 many times. My thoughts: 360>ps3 graphics/games wise. But as far as having fun with some other people wii>360>ps3 The wii is by far the mose fun. But 360 is the way to go for graphics.
