Sometimes I shake my finger at him and say "No No Bennie!", like just now. He was chewing on the phone cord. So, what does he do? He jumps up on my leg, all 9 lbs of him, wanting me to pick him up so he can lay his little head on my shoulder. I just melt. :D

if you shove a stick up "his" arse you could get the dust in the corners of the ceiling ;)

his chewing on the phone chord is a sign of 2 things

he's trying to tell you to 1) get that damn bow out of my hair, i'm already foofooey enough for a boy dog 2) get that underbite fixed!

;)

;)He likes the bow and since you mentioned it, I guess I could look into getting his under bite fixed. I have thought about it.

fix an underbite on a dog? how much would that cost.

Is he missing a limb? I'm thinking the Bennie Owen name should be reserved for three-legged dogs.

You named your dog after Bennie Owen and you don't get that? Really?

In 1907, Owen lost his right arm in a hunting accident.

that still seems like it would be a lot of pain for the dog though. and its not life threatening is it?

BigRedJed

Well, I'm not suggesting she cut of his leg, but yes, in theory it would probably be a lot of pain for the dog, and potentially life-threatening.

Oh, I see. Well, I always thought of Bennie Owen as having 5 limbs. You know what I mean? ;)

If he does, I guarantee one of them gets smaller everytime you tie on one of those bows.

If he does, I guarantee one of them gets smaller everytime you tie on one of those bows.We tried to take the bows out. He just gets depressed. I think its because I have 3 daughters and 4 granddaughters running in and out of this house with all kinds of ribbons, bows, barrettes and hair bobbles. He doesn't want to feel left out. :D

We like to think that Mr.Owen feels honored, and that he's helping our guardian angels watch over us. God knows they could use all the help they can get. :O

Maybe if you cut his hair so he could see his food when he isn't wearing a bow, he wouldnt sulk.
