Camcorder recommendations

Our camcorder died a while a go and we're looking to get a new one. Anyone bought one recently?

Should I go with mini-DVD, other memory card-type . . . we're probably lookin' to spend around $400 or so at the most.

I like the hard drive type

I think this one is close to your price range but you have to add it to your cart to see the price online.
