Remember those machines at the zoo where you'd put your money in, choose an animal and it would process the hot plastiwax stuff in the mold right there in front of you and you'd almost burn your hands when you went to get it out?
That's what it made me think of.

Frankly, the sculpture doesn't really offend me at all. To me it's truly an artistic expression. And that thing is 6 ft. tall, no way is it hollow. ;)
I was more afraid that I was going to see a link to some candy company like Palmers that was going to start mass-producing (solid or hollow) chocolate Jesus figures for consumption.
Strangely, that would offend me a bit, cause my only thought would be "couldn't we just stick to the bread and wine." I don't think Jesus had "gorge yourself on chocolate, do this in rememberance of me" in mind. It has, after all, gone too far in that direction already.
Heck, if we all start stuffing chocolates in the shape of Jesus in our fat faces he might just come back down and say, "That's it. I take it back, you're on your own."
I dont mind the chocolate Jesus at all. I would buy one if the Holy Spirit descended, not like a dove, but a fondant creme, and filled our Lord.
