A friend of mine (you guys probably know who) just got these pics sent to him from his friend in Watonga, Oklahoma (hope I spelled that right).

Apparently this lion was watching the guy's kids play on their back porch. Amazing sight, eh? I'll bet he's glad he didn't pick that time to take out the trash!

Of course the 6 feet of snow in the background doesn't give you a clue that it might not be Oklahoma.;)

there are mountain lions in oklahoma--my grandpa saw one out in his field one time. used to hear it screaming at night.

and in case anyone cares, that mountain lion did NOT look angry in those pictures. it's ears are still up/out straight rather than laying back on the side of its head, and it's not in a threatening pose. probably just yawning or making noises.

i would have just loaded up some slugs in the 12 gauge and just pumped a few rounds through the glass

The fact that there is six feet of snow in the background means it TOTALLY COULD be Oklahoma. 90 degrees one day...6 feet of snow the next. It IS April in OK, after all. :)

my old golfing buddy who was a game warden in Osage County said many people embellish their stories about seeing them but they are out there.
my gf's Mom has heard them at her place in Cleveland.

oh, i don't doubt it. I don't think my grandpa was much for embellishment. he was a skeptic abou things, so if he said he saw something he definitely saw it.
