Just heard this weekend that they are closing their doors in November. We all knew it was a matter of time.

Why are they closing? Retirement?

Norm probably just forgot about April Fools' Day and is trying to make up for it. I hope.

I had heard this last year too, but for some reason they didn't do it. They are retiring and moving back to Greece. Let's hope it's a nasty rumor that I made up. OK, I didn't make it up, but let's hope the person who told me made it up.

I know that close down the shop and go to Greece for a few months every year. I think that is in the summer though, when the students are gone.

They close every ****ing November.

I ate there Friday for lunch. Good as it ever was. But that little scrawny blonde skanokozoid isn't a "hotty." More like a luke warmy. The little dark skinned swarthy boy wearing flip-flops while serving up gyros ain't hot either.

You talking about the one who always wears the purple and gray striped skirt and skimpy tops and wears the dark make-up around her eyes.

Do they take check cards? I may have to that for dinner.

Man I miss that place! They were closed when I was in town for Christmas. So my old Greek House buddy and I ate at the Mont and ran into another friend from the college days. Strange.

No good Gyros around here for 20 miles. I have to go to Bristol or Boone, NC.

Mrs. Rogue did find a recipe for homemade Gyros. Very tasty. Ground lamb + hamburger + lots of garlic and spices made into little log like meatballs. Bake, slice, add onions, pita, lettuce, and some tzaziki sauce. Mmmm mmmm.

If they do ever leave, Ole Town Gyros and Kabobs on Main & Porter is pretty good.

Haven't tried that new place on Campus Corner yet.

That little cafe/bakery next to Mr. Goodcents is decent.

Reading someone else's post on another board, the owner told them this:

"yes we selling, same people, no problem"

Said it isn't closing though.

You mean the one that's closed and gone since about a month ago?

Since I don't live there anymore, I am not in the know.
