My UPS worked.

There were about five simultaneous "DAMMIT"s around the office though.

Mine is supposed to run for about 10mins or so, I think......should give you enough time to get everything shut down and saved.

Well, I don't know that it's designed to run a plasma, receiver, PS3, HD DVD player, CD carousel, VCR, and cable box.

My "desktop" is my laptop, plugged into a docking station. I guess I have about four hours of UPS.

i jacked a APC 1400VA at work for my office a while ago, been pretty solid

at home i have an IPS on my main machine and a new APC still in the box, i'm sure today i will come home to a dead machine for the second day in a row :mad:

UPS won't prevent power surges, although they will mis-deliver your packages from time to time.

heh, I have a UPS for my computer in the states. I also have a secondary UPS that has my cable modem and router plugged into it. I hate waiting on the reboot :D
