View Full Version : So I had my bridal portraits done today...

and the Skirvin RMFO! I got to see the suite we are staying in and the whole place was amazing.


What wasn't amazing was the other creepy photographer dude that we there for another event following us around. He just kept starring, weirdo. I know he said some stuff to my mom and the photographer, but I was freaking out about the rest of the on lookers that I didn't hear him.

Oh and I really hate taking pictures. I have no idea what they look like, but I do know that I made my momma cry and that I laughed at her.


Then she started dancing around to make me giggle because I really hate taking pictures.


So to sum up Skirvin good pictures bad.

I'm sure you'll be happy with them. My Fiancée did hers about two weeks ago, and she hates taking her picture. But when they came back in, she loved them.

as much as I joke around, Lil I wish you and Rhino the very best, and a happy life together. I'm sure the pictures will be great.

Makes me think that I sure aint ready for my baby girls to move on, but I got a few more years before I have to worry about that.

When I had my bridal pics taken, I looked HORRIBLE :eek: ! That's why I wore my mess dress to my wedding.

I totally don't see anything wrong with that. It looks good to me.

The day was fun other than the rain, and the fact that my dress is still too big, oh and that I ripped a hem at the bottom of my dress by trying to walk up the staircase at the Skirvin.

Oh and that creepy guy that kept following us around.

I'll answer that since fly boy is gone for the moment.
Officers traditionally wear fancy schmancy (short tunic, I think) dress-up outfits for formal dinner (mess..as in mess hall) functions.

Back when I was a junior officer, USAF mess dress was white in the summer, and black in the winter. I was married in the white one because it was May.:D

So were my parents, Homey...ironically, Dad was a TSgt and Mom was a 1 Lt. (I guess fraternization rules weren't exactly enforced back then).

Lil, you have to read this essay in Robert Fulghum's book Uh Oh. It's called "The Mother of the Bride" and represents one of the funniest wedding stories ever.

Oh and congrats by the way. Being married is the best. It ranks right up there with having children, catching fish, and chicken fried steak.

I told Rhino that there will be no divorce. The only way someone is leaving this marriage is in a body bag, and luckily I sell those. :D
