OU snags New Mexico QB

From staff reports

Oklahoma has gotten a quarterback commitment for its 2008 class, according to Scout.com.
Artesia, N.M. quarterback Landry Jones chose the Sooners over Colorado and UCLA.
Jones is ranked the 36th-best quarterback by ESPN. He's 6-foot-5 and runs a 4.8-second 40-yard dash.
"(OU coach Bob Stoops) was excited. He said, 'Well, I think you fit the mold here really well. We are all jacked to get you here.' He was really excited about it,” Jones told scout.com. "I would like to have the starting job (at OU) at quarterback. I think I can go in there and compete for it, but I know I am going to have to work extremely hard because they have a lot of good quarterbacks there.”
