as a Sooner living in Boulder, I can say the Buffs were hoping like hell to get LJ. and my buddies were prancing around like the phrase you may know from the opening scene in Blazing Saddles....after Scout or Rivals CU guy said LJ was a 70% CU commit just last week.

but Oklahoma is Oklahoma, and CU=CU. not bad, not great.

I think Hawkins will get them back on track eventually......but, Landry made the best decision of life to put on the Crimson and Cream, play for the Sooners and be a Champion.

good on ya Landry.

His highlight reel really shows off his arm strength. Also, especially for a guy 6'5", can scramble well. His throwing motion reminds me of JW, too.

Great news. I just saw a piece on the tube about him. Seems like a solid kid and a good QB prospect.

With Nichols and now Jones on the way, the future is looking very bright for the QB position.

Lesson one: Ride INSIDE the cab of pickup trucks, if and when riding in pickup trucks.
Lesson Two: LISTEN TO COACH STOOPS!!!

That is all :).

Welcome aboard, LJ.

Does anybody have an article on him? I am eager to read about him.:pop:

He's got a strong arm and looks to be a towering guy in his HS films. He's more like Jason White after the knee surgeries... ya know. He CAN run the ball, but he only seems to run it when he has to, or just to buy time in the pocket. Outrageous numbers for a HS Junior, no matter where he's playing at. Stoops and Co. are pwning on the recruiting trail right now.

Boise State coaches seem to do well in bigger leagues, don't they. :D

a friend of mine said he was listening to Pat Jones and BBJ, he said Pat Jones said he was slow and had an average arm. I guess Pat has never seen the kid play but one of his coaching buddies told him this.

There is a reason WHY Pat was an oSu coach and not an OU coach.

a friend of mine said he was listening to Pat Jones and BBJ, he said Pat Jones was mentally slow and had an average mind.
